Description
In tactile metrology, extensions help to access hard-to-reach features of workpieces or prevent multiple styli from interfering with each other. The rule is: the shorter and stiffer the extension, the better – as few screw joints as possible ensure maximum stability. Carbon fiber reinforced extensions provide extremely high bending and torsional stiffness while remaining very lightweight and virtually thermally inactive. In addition, carbon fiber reinforced plastics offer excellent dimensional stability and thermal resistance.
