Description
Styli with stepped shaft design are characterized by a decreasing shaft Thickness towards the measuring tip. This increases the stability of the shaft while maintaining the same length (depending on the sphere diameter). At the same time, however, the usable measuring length is reduced.
Styli without threads enable precise measurement of even the smallest component features. They are fixed in suitable styli holders and consist of a carbide shaft with a ruby ball as standard. Naturally, other materials are also possible. In combination with suitable connecting elements, a wide range of configurations can be realized—e.g., L, T, or star probes.
